OEIT – Greenfield http://greenfield.mit.edu A New Way of Thinking about OpenCourseWare and Open Educational Resources for MIT Tue, 07 Jun 2016 15:39:45 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=4.5.3 i.Experience http://greenfield.mit.edu/2010/04/09/i-experience/ Fri, 09 Apr 2010 11:06:40 +0000 http://greenfield.mit.edu/?p=7 i.Experience is OEIT’s first forary into a new, “Interactive Experience” for OpenCourseWare and Open Educational Resources.

We worked with MIT OCW to install a local mirror copy of OCW and have already modified it slightly (within the license and terms of use).

In the next few weeks we will do things such as:

  • Incorporate the SpokenMedia Player into the video pages.
  • Integrate the MITOEIT Recommender system (based on Folksemantic.com/OER Recommender technology)
  • And…who knows, the sky’s the limit!

Welcome! http://greenfield.mit.edu/2010/04/08/welcome/ Thu, 08 Apr 2010 15:57:20 +0000 http://greenfield.mit.edu/blog/?p=1 Welcome to Project Greenfield!

The MIT Office of Educational Innovation and Technology (OEIT) has launched Project Greenfield in 2010 as an experiment to enable MIT faculty to explore how OpenCourseWare and Open Educational Resources might be used in new and innovative ways.

*As of 2015, OEIT is now Strategic Education Initiatives (SEI), part of MIT’s Office of Digital Learning.

We’re just getting started, and we invite you to join us on this journey.
